TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Camperent is an agency and not the principal hiring company for the products displayed on this website. Camperent will assist its clients as far as is possible with any dispute which may arise with principals, but is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, death or perceived disadvantage which may be incurred arising from any action or omission by such principals.
• Availability is on a request and confirm basis at the time of reservation.
• To make a booking, the Reservation Form must be completed in full and submitted.

RENTAL PRICES

• Rental prices are in EURO and always include:
• Standard equipment
• Standard Vehicle Insurance Cover (with Euro 5000 Bond/Excess - will be debited from hirer's credit card immediately on pick-up)
• Cleaning fees before departure, and pre-departure vehicle preparation.
• Road maps, camp guides and other tourist information
• A call Helpline providing 24-hour Roadside assistance throughout Italy
• Rates are charged per calendar day (not on a 24-hour basis).

INSURANCES

Customers can choose between different options :

OPTION 1 (Standard Cover Insurance) Standard Vehicle Insurance cover is always included in the daily rate.
This cover provides for:

• Damage to third party property and public liability up to Euro 1,000,000.
• A Bond/Excess of Euro 5000 must be paid on collection of the vehicle the hirer will be responsible for the first Euro 5000 of any costs incurred due to damage to the hired vehicle or third party property.
• The hirer will be fully liable for the repair or replacement of damaged windscreens and tires. This Bond may be paid by cash, travelers cheques or credit card. If a credit card is used as the method of payment, then an imprint only is taken.
• No amount will be debited against the credit card on pick-up.
• However, in the event of an accident, the full bond of Euros5000 will be uplifted immediately and any balance refunded only after full and final costs have been established and deducted.
• This deposit is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed drop-off depot, on the due drop-off date, in a clean, undamaged condition, and empty toilet cassette (note! : uncleanliness of toilet cassette at return is submitted to 50 Euro fee!) .
• Tires and punctures are not covered by insurance and are to be repaired/replaced at the hirer's cost.

OPTION 2 (Partial Cover Insurance )

• Extra cost Euro 20.00 per day pay on pick-up.
• This option reduces the Bond/Excess to Euro 1200 the hirer will be responsible for the first 1200 Euro of any costs incurred due to damage to the hired vehicle or third party property.
• The hirer will be fully liable for the repair or replacement of damaged windscreens and tyres.
• If a credit card is used as the method of payment, then an imprint only is taken.
• No amount will be debited against the credit card on pick-up.
• However, in the event of an accident, the full bond of Euros1200 will be uplifted immediately and any balance refunded only after full and final costs have been established and deducted.
• This deposit is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed drop-off depot, on the due drop-off date, in a clean, undamaged condition, and empty toilet cassette (note! : uncleanliness of toilet cassette at return is submitted to 50 Euro fee!) .

OPTION 3 (Full Cover Insurance)

• Euro 32.00 per day pay on pick-up
• Waives/reduces Bond/Excess Liability to Nil.
• This option is available only on hires of 10 days or longer.
• The hirer will not be responsible for any costs incurred due to damage to the hired vehicle or third party property, or for the repair or replacement of damaged windscreens.
• The hirer will be fully liable for the repair or replacement of damaged tyres.
• If a credit card is used as the method of payment, then an imprint only is taken.
• Please note: a signed credit card imprint will still be taken for a standard guarantee bond (to a maximum of Euros500).
• This deposit is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed drop-off depot, on the due drop-off date, in a clean, undamaged condition, and empty toilet cassette (note! : uncleanliness of toilet cassette at return is submitted to 50 Euro fee!).
• Tyres and punctures are not covered by insurance and are to be repaired/replaced at the hirer's cost.

IMPORTANT!!!
All hirers will be fully liable for any damage to the United vehicle or Third Party Property if:

• Terms of the rental agreement are breached if;
• Damage is caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
• The vehicle is driven on restricted roads;
• Damage is due to careless, willful or reckless driving;
• Negligence, or other act of the hirer, results in water submersion or salt water damage.
• All Drivers must be a minimum of 21 years old.
• Drivers must hold a current valid International drivers license, to be produced at the start of the hire. With a non-English language license must carry an International Driving Permit.

PAYMENTS

To make a booking, the Reservation Form must be completed in full and submitted.

A reservation is only binding after it has been confirmed by us and the down payment has been received.

Once the reservation is confirmed, an invoice will be issued by e-mail.

Camperent accepts all major forms of payment, indeed payment is calculated in Euro currency only.

• Down-payment: 30% of full amount at reservation, remaining 70% will be charged at pick-up.
• Balance: In case of extra fee credit card is charged on the return date.
• “Last minute bookings” (i.e. less than 10 days before departure) the full rental price must be paid immediately at reservation.
• No vehicles will be released without full payment being completed.
• Once payment is complete, a Voucher will be issued by email confirming full payment and containing all rental details, plus address & contact details of the depots where collection/return is taking place.

Credit Cards

• We accept all major credit cards - Amex, Visa or Master Card only.
• Cheques payment – In case of cheques payment you must advise prior our office.

Refunds

• No refunds will be given for any unused portion of hire period (early return)

Cancellation fees

• 25 days and over : A fee of Euro 150 will be charged.
• 24 to 7 days : the fee will be 25% of total cost
• 6 to 1 days : the fee will be 50% of total reservation cost
• No show : the fee will be 100% of reservation cost (includes cancellation on day of pick-up)
• No refunds will be given for any unused portion of the hire period

Reservation Amendments

• To increase length of hire: No charge or fee - (but you are required to inform our office ASAP)
• To decrease length of hire: (no refund - cancellation fees apply).
• Camperent may, at its discretion, treat any amendment to decrease the booking as a cancellation.
• Change of drop-off destination, once hire has commenced, is always subject to approval by Camperent and will incur the full cost of repositioning the vehicle to the original destination reserved.
• If the reserved vehicle is unavailable for any reason (e.g. due for example to damage during the previous hire) Camperent reserves the right to provide a comparably high standard vehicle at no extra cost to you.

Important ! : While including same facilities, vehicle layouts may vary slightly to those shown in this website, due to manufacturer design changes.

Traffic Infringements

• All traffic infringements are the responsibility of the hirer.
• The hirer authorize Camperent to charge the amount of all traffic infringements or bills on his credit card, even if the infringements will be notified long later after the rental period.
• Camperent reserves the right to pass on details of the hirer's home contact and driver license details to the Italian and European traffic Authorities.
